Equilibrium...

Est-ce beau ou pas?
Même si on ne trouve pas cette oeuvre belle, ne joue-t-elle pas déjà son rôle en nous interpellant et en nous faisant nous poser la question?
Mais qui définit la beauté? n'est-ce pas une notion terriblement subjective?
Zola disait:"Une oeuvre d'art est un coin de la création vu par un tempérament".
Ce tempérament doit-il , peut-il,ne penser qu'à la technique, ou s'abstraire de toute recherche artistique tendant vers la beauté?
Quand je vois cette oeuvre, elle m'impressionne par ses prouesses techniques, cet arc en équilibre, immobile et immense attire mon regard.
Mais est-ce que je la trouve belle? non.
Est-ce qu'elle me fait rêver? non.

Even if you don't like it, the fact to ask the question is already a good thing for the artist, because he obliges us to ask the question to ourself.
But who can give THE definition of beauty?It's something very subjective!
May or can an artist ,work without thinking of beauty and only use techniques?
When I see this piece of art, I'm attracted, and I'm asking how did He do to get this equilibrium.
But then,do I find this thing beautyful?No.
Does this thing make me dream? No
