I was walking in this park, and visiting the Museum of the Asiatic Arts which is inside, I saw this little and discreet tree...
And here is what I could read:
"This tree is born from a branch of the Tree of the Bodhi, under which Buddha reached the Illumination, in Bodhgaya, India, in the VI th century before the Christ.."
(offered by the buddhic community of Sri Lanka in 2002)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is it true? Is it possible?
It's not important.
The main thing is to believe in it; it's to think that this tree has something magic, something wonderful, and to let this wonderful carry you...
I caressed the leaves and when I went away, I was happy...
Well, it's nice t have a part of something important to others. Our old library, now a museum, had a heritage tree that was more than 200 yers old but it was tipping over because of the large branches and roots were not too deep in the ground. They took small seedlings from it and after they removed t, planted a tree that was once a part of the original tree. I am sentimental so it means a lot to me. I am glad I have photos of the old tree tho.
