I like the winter sun.
Plus doux, plus discret,il donne une jolie lumière qui n'écrase pas , mais embellit les choses...Softer and sweeter, it gives a beautyful light to the things, it does not crush the things, but makes them prettier..
A la fin de l'après-midi, il fait s'allonger les ombres comme pour les bercer...
At the end of the afternoon, it makes the shadows lie down, like if it wanted to cradle them..
La chaleur se réfugie dans les pierres et les murs, pour mieux nous revenir et nous envelopper..Heat takes refuge in the walls and in the stones, to better come back to us , and envelop us.
Bientôt, la nuit et le froid reprendront le dessus.Mais en attendant, la caresse du soleil d'hiver
semble si attrayante que même la lune s'attarde pour en partager la douceur...

Neat photos! I like the shadow ones and am wondering what the round thing is in the next to last photo-- art sculpture? I saw the moon in the last one even before I read about it!
Paulie:The round thing is a merry-go-round, that we call here a "big wheel". People are in the little boxes, and when it turns, you can have a beautyful sight all over the town when you're upside..BUT, I never go into this thing, I've got vertigo!
