Ce que j'emporte /What I'm taking with me

Lorsque l'on quitte un endroit où l'on a aimé flâner, on garde en soi quelques images qui résument une atmosphère,ou rappellent un joli moment.
Voici ce que je garde de Saint-Paul-de-Vence...
~~~~~
When we have to leave a place where we have liked to stroll, we take away with us some pictures which sum up an atmosphere or make us remember of a sweet moment.
Here is what I took with me when leaving Saint-Paul-de-Vence...
-----------------------
Cet amusant pigeon, peu farouche, qui après avoir fait sa star, est venu jouer dans ma main et se laisser caresser en roucoulant..
This funny pidgeon, which let me take pictures and then came on my hand and let me give some caress to it, and thanked me with some cooing..
--------------------------------------------------------
La main attentionnée qui a posé une touche de couleur sur les pierres grises de la fontaine..
The toughtful hand which put a touch of color on the grey stones of the fountain...
------------------------------------------------------------
Toutes ces petites statues que l'on pouvait apercevoir au-dessus de chaque porte ou presque..
All those little statues that could be seen above almost every door or gate...
-------------------------------------------------------------
Et ces fabuleuses portes, donnant accès à des paradis entrevus et interdits..
And those fabulous doors, that let you see private paradises but don't allow you to reach them...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Un fauteuil juste posé là, dans un coin de rue..
An armchair simply there, on a street corner..
--------------------------------------------------------------
Des tableaux comme je les aime, entrevus dans une vitrine de galerie de peinture...
Pictures that I like very much, seen in the window of a painting gallery...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
L'entrée tentante d'un petit salon de thé..
The tempting entrance of a small tea room..
----------------------------------------------------------------
Un endroit si méditerranéen, avec ses jarres, et ses pierres sèches..
A very mediterranean place, with jars and white stones..
-------------------------------------------------------------
Et une petite Venus, déesse du sud, accueillant les passants avec un regard rêveur..
And a little Venus, southern goddess, welcoming the passing-by people with her dreaming expression..
Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a little paradise and you show that very well in your lovely photo reports, which I have truly enjoyed. Your poetic formulations add to the atmosphere.
Somehow it reminded me of the old city on the Greek island of Rodos which we visited last year, but that is Mediterranean too. I have posted just a few pictures, but there are both fountains and pigeons :-)
