Yesterday, I went to stroll in Menton. This is the french town wich is the nearest to italian border. When you go outside of Menton by the east, you immediatly enter in Italy..
When I go somewhere, I like to send some postcards to my friends. Here are some of the views I would have chosen...
An old church seen through a narrow street in the old town...
La majestueuse colonne d'une fontaine..
The majestic column of a fountain...
A view of the old town, with the cimetery all upside, and the tall steeple of Saint-Michael Cathedral...
The small Castel, which used to protect the town in the old times (when I was a child, it was surrounded by the sea!...)
An old statue that I particularly love. It shows a peasant from Menton, and is standind on an old fountain...

And here are the postcards that I could have bought.
~
...avec ou sans ciel bleu..
...with or without blue sky..

My favorite is the third one. You have to look good to find picture post cards around here.
It looks like a town well worth visiting. I think I would have chosen the Castel. But I don't send cards any more. I use MMS or E-mail with my own photos. Or call.
Tu connais?
Even if the sky is gray, those scenerys are beautiful.
Our photo postcards are just as good or better than ones you can buy in stores. Thanks for "sending" me all those postcards today! I love that kind of postcards as you can tell from the titles of my blogs.
